9. If the control is not to be replaced with another control,
disconnect the power to the meter socket and control
cables.
10. Carefully transport the control to a suitable service
facility.
Removing a pole mount control from service
Perform the following steps to remove a pole mount control
from service:
1. Open the door of the control.
2. Press the MANUAL button on the front panel to place
the control in Manual mode.
3. Press the TRIP button to trip (open) the capacitor bank.
Explosion hazard.
Move a safe distance away from the capacitor bank after
pressing the TRIP button on the control.
Failure to do so may result in severe personal injury or
death.

4. Verify that the capacitor bank is tripped (open).
5. Disconnect power from the control.
6. If the control is connected to an external communication
device, disconnect the communication cable from the
SelectComm communication module.
7. Remove the lower lag bolt that is attaching the control
bracket to the pole.
8. Loosen the upper lag bolt that is attaching the control
bracket to the pole.
9. Gently lift the control off of the upper lag bolt and
remove from the pole.
10. If the control is not to be replaced with another control,
disconnect the power to the control cables.
11. Carefully transport the control to a suitable service
facility.
Removing a panel mount control from service
Perform the following steps to remove a panel mount control
from service:
1. Open the door of the control.
2. Press the MANUAL button on the front panel to place
the control in Manual mode.
3. Press the TRIP button to trip (open) the capacitor bank.
Explosion hazard.
Move a safe distance away from the capacitor bank after
pressing the TRIP button on the control.
Failure to do so may result in severe personal injury or
death.

5. Disconnect power from the control.
6. If the control is connected to an external communication
device, disconnect the communication cable from the
SelectComm communication module.
7. Remove the lower screws or bolts that are attaching the
panel mount bracket to the surface.
8. Loosen the upper screws or bolts that are attaching the
control bracket to the surface.
9. Gently lift the control off of the upper screws or bolts
and remove from the surface.
10. If the control is not to be replaced with another control,
disconnect the power to the control cables.
11. Carefully transport the control to a suitable service
facility.
