1.2 Default Settings
The following describes printing that can be performed under the initial default settings of
the HP-GL and HP-GL/2 emulation modes. Under the default setting the printer is
configured to reduce or enlarge the document data to match the paper size (Auto Layout).
File Size: Auto, Zoom Mode: Output Size, Zoom: On
Note
• You can change the initial default settings if you want. For details about how to do this, refer to “2 Setting
the HP-GL Mode” (P. 13).
Paper Margin
The default output size is set to [A Size]. If the print data exceeds the effective coordinate
area, it will be printed on the next larger size (for example, the next paper larger than A5 is
A4). When paper margin is set, the area set for the paper margin rather than the area
recognized by [Area Determine] sets the effective coordinate area. Configure these settings
if printing is done on a paper size larger than the size you want. Setting range is from 0 to
99 mm. The default value is 0 mm. To set this value in inches, enter a value between 0 and
3.9". The default is [0.0"].
