A.6 Installing Additional Memory
In the following situations, additional memory must be installed to the printer.
• When [Print Page Mode] is set to [On] on the print driver
Setting [Print Page Mode] to [On] changes the printing method of the printer. When
printing large data, or when the printer is taking too much time to print, set [Print Page
Mode] to [On] and try printing again.
• When the [Out of memory] message appears frequently on the control panel
• When installing the optional PostScript software kit on the DocuPrint C3055
(recommended)
In addition to the above situations, additional memory may be required also when printing
large data such as complex graphics.

• For more information about the additional memory and how to order it, refer to "A.2 Optional
Accessories" (P. 215).
The following describes how to install additional memory to the printer.
The printer provides one slot for installing a memory card. If the slot already has a memory
card, replace it with the one with larger memory capacity.
Note
• The DocuPrint C3055 DX comes with 256 MB memory already installed in the memory slot.
WARNING
• Never open or remove machine covers that are secured with screws unless specifically
instructed in the related manuals. A high voltage component can cause electric shocks.
• Do not try to alter the machine configuration, or modify any parts. An unauthorized
modification can cause smoke or fire.
CAUTION
• Switch off the machine before connecting the interface cable or optional accessories.
Connecting the cable or optional accessories with a live machine can cause electric
shocks.
1. Switch the power off by pressing the power
switch on the left side of the printer to the
<O> position.
Unplug the power cord from the power
outlet and the printer.
