TORQUE: 3.4 N'm (0.3 kgf ·m, 2. 5 Ibf.ft )
After '06:
Tighten the bolt to the specified torque .
TORQUE: 3.4 N'm (0.3 kgf·m, 2.5 Ibf.ft )
Connect the throttle position sensor connector.
Install the carburetor (page 6-24),
PILOT SCREW ADJUSTMENT
NOTE :
• T he pil ot screw is factory pre-set and no adjust-
ment is necessary unless the pil ot screw is
replaced .
• Use a tac hometer with graduations of 50 rpm or
smaller that will accurately indicate a 50 rpm
change .

Turn the pilot screw clockwise until it seats
lightly, then back it out the specified number of
turns .

2. Warm up the engine to operating temp erature.
Ride the
motor cycle for approximately 10 min·
utes.
3. Stop the engine and attach a tachometer accord·
ing to its manufacturer 's instruction.
4. Start the engine and adjust the engine idle speed
to the specified
rpm with the throttle stop screw.
IDLE S PEED : 1,700 ± 10 0 rpm
5. Turn the pilOt screw in or out slowly to obtain the
highe st engine speed.
S. Readjust the i dle speed to the spe ci fied rpm with
the throttle stop screw.
