Be ca reful not to
dam a ge the pist on
sliding surface.
Pu sh the dus t seals and piston seals in and lift them
out.
Clean the seal groo ves, caliper pistons and caliper
piston sliding surfaces with clean brake fluid.
INSPECTION
Check the caliper cylinde r and pistons for scoring,
scratches or damage.
Measure the caliper cyl inder I.D.
SERVICE LIMIT:
27 .060 mm (1.0654 in)
Measure the caliper piston 0.0 .
SERVICE LIMIT: 26.853 mm (1.0572 in)
ASSEMBLY
Coat new piston seals with clean brake fluid .
Coat
new dust seals with silicon grease.
Install each pis/on Install the piston and dust seals into the gr ooves in
seal, dust se a/and the ca liper body.
caliper piston in
their proper
loca t ions.
Coat the caliper pistons with clean brake fluid and
install them i nto the caliper cylinde r with their open
ends facing the pad.
