IGNITION SYSTEM
IGNITION COIL INSPECTION
Remove the following Ignition coil (page 15-3).
PRIMARY SIDE
Measure the resistance of the primary coil by attaching
the ohmmeter leads to the ignition coil terminal [1] and
the iron core [2].
SECONDARY SIDE
Measure the resistance of the secondary coil by
attaching the ohmmeter leads to the inside of the spark
plug cap [1] and the iron core [2].
Install the ignition coil (page 15-3).
Except electric starter model:
Resistance: 0.43 – 0.52 Ω
Except electric starter model:
Resistance: 8.32 – 12.4 kΩ
