Webcam/microphone module (includes cable) 603660–001
Before removing the webcam/microphone module:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first disconnecting the power cord from the AC outlet
and then disconnecting the AC adapter from the computer.
To access the BrightView webcam/microphone module, remove the display bezel. For instructions, see
BrightView display assembly on page 65.
To access the Touchscreen webcam/microphone module, remove the display panel from the display
enclosure. For instructions, see
Touchscreen display assembly on page 60.
To replace the webcam/microphone module:
1. Disconnect the webcam/microphone module cable (1) from the webcam/microphone module.
2. Remove the screw securing the webcam/microphone module to the display enclosure (2).
3. Release the webcam/microphone module from the display enclosure (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the webcam/microphone module.
