Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 38).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40).
6. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 48).
To remove the card reader board:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the card reader board (1).
2. Remove the tape from the board (2).
3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0×2.0 screws (3) that secure the board to the computer.
4. Lift the rear of the board up, and then pull it away from the side of the computer to remove it (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the card reader board.
