6.15 Fuel tap

The fuel tap is on the left side of the fuel tank.
Handle

on the fuel tap opens or shuts off the fuel supply to
the carburetor.
Possible states
Fuel supply closed OFF Fuel cannot flow from the fuel
tank to the carburetor.
Fuel supply open ON Fuel can flow from the fuel tank to
the carburetor. The fuel tank empties down to the reserve
level.
Fuel reserve supply open RES Fuel can flow from the fuel
tank to the carburetor. The fuel tank empties completely.
6.16 Choke

is fitted on the left side of the carburetor.
Activating the choke function frees a drill hole in the carburetor
through which the engine can draw extra fuel. This results in a
richer fuel-air mixture, which is needed for a cold start.
Info
If the engine is warm, the choke function must be deacti-
vated.
Possible states
Choke function activated The choke lever is pulled out to
the stop.
Choke function deactivated The choke lever is pushed in
to the stop.
6.17 Shift lever
