12.7 Removing the fork protector

Remove screws

and take off the clamp.
Remove screws

and take off the left fork protector.
Remove screws

and take off the right fork protector.
12.8 Installing the fork protector

Position the fork protector on the left fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

Guideline
Remaining screws,
chassis
M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
Position the brake line, wiring harness, and clamp. Mount and
tighten screws

Position the fork protector on the right fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

12.9 Removing the lower triple clamp
Preparatory work
Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 107)
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 53)
Remove the front wheel. ( p. 97)
Remove the fork legs. ( p. 54)
Remove front fender. ( p. 61)

Remove screw

Remove screw

Open cable holder

in front of the left radiator and detach
the clutch line.
Open cable holder

in front of the right radiator and detach
the wiring harness.
Remove the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and set
aside.
