Error 19 – Excess plate contact
The Nozzle Contact Sense input, while cutting, was turning ON and OFF numerous times in succession or was ON
continuously for a period of time.
Is the nozzle touching the workpiece?

Control OFF?
Is there slag
between shield and
nozzle?
Yes Check the
consumables for
damage.

Verify that the Arc
Voltage setpoint
matches the value
the plasma cut chart.
No Is the Arc Voltage
set correctly?
Is the ohmic contact
wire shorted to
ground?
Yes Verify ohmic contact
wire is not damaged.

Verify that IHS is
working correctly.
Yes Is Sample Arc
Voltage ON?
Is the cutting table a
water table?
Yes Verify that the torch
is not cutting at or
below the surface of
the water and that
water is not
splashing up onto
the torch shield.
