Instructions for Models 800, 810, 825, 870, and 890
A processor card may be the failing item.
1. See Locations and addresses for the model you are working on, and view the FRU locations and
failing components table to identify the locations, type number, and remove and replace procedure for
the processor cards.
2. If necessary, use control panel function 20 to determine the Processor Feature Code.
3. See the processor table in the symbolic FRU “CCIN” on page 303 for the processor CCIN number for
the system processor feature code you are working on.
4. Refer to the following information for details:
v For Models 800 and 810, choose from the following options:
– Without processor features 7428, 7429, and 7430: The processor is embedded on the system
unit backplane. Exchange the system unit backplane to exchange the processor.
This
ends the procedure.
– With processor features 7428, 7429, and 7430: The processor is located in location M02.
Exchange the Processor Card.
This
ends the procedure.
v For Model 825: The processors are located in locations C13, M01, or M02.
– An SRC of B428 x003 indicates a failure of the processor in location C13.
– An SRC of B428 x004 indicates a failure of the processor in location M01.
– An SRC of B428 x005 indicates a failure of the processor in location M02.
– An SRC of B428 xC03 indicated a failure in any one of the above processors (if installed).
This
ends the procedure.
v For Model 870 and 890: The processors are located in locations M21, M16, M11, and M14.
– An SRC of B448 x003 or B1xx 4651 indicates a failure of the processor in location M21.
– An SRC of B448 x005 or B1xx 4652 indicates a failure of the processor in location M16.
– An SRC of B448 x004 or B1xx 4653 indicates a failure of the processor in location M11.
– An SRC of B448 x006 or B1xx 4654 indicates a failure of the processor in location M14.
– An SRC of B448 xC03 or B1xx 4650 indicates a failure in any one of the above processors (if
installed).
