BASIC OPERATION
D VFO mode
VFO mode is used to set the desired frequency.
± Push [VFO/MHz] to select the VFO mode.
When the VFO mode is already selected, the digits to the right of
the 10 MHz will disappear. In this case, push [VFO/MHz] twice.

± Push [VFO/LOCK] to select the VFO mode.
What is VFO?
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscillator. Fre-
quencies for both transmitting and receiving are generated
and controlled by the VFO.
D Memory mode
Memory mode is used for operation on the memory channels
which store programmed frequencies.
q Push [M/CALL] to select the memory mode.
Push [M/CALL] several times to select Memory/Call channels
in sequence.
• “X indicator appears when the memory mode is selected.

w Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired memory channel.
• Only programmed memory channels can be selected.

z Push [MR/CALL] to select the memory

ory channel.
