Removal and Replacement
XUD Engines
Disconnect the battery negative lead.
Disconnect the cables from main starter terminal A and
solenoid terminal B. Unscrew securing bolts (3 off) and
withdraw the starter.
Replacement is a reversal of the removal procedure.
Torque Settings
Securing bolts C 34 Nm (25 lbf ft, 3.5 kgf m).
Service Procedures
Servicing this equipment is not recommended. Should
faults occur, then the starter motor should be changed for a
Service Replacement.
