Track Removal and Replacement
Removing a Track
1 Park the machine on firm and level ground.
2 Using suitable lifting equipment, raise the machine off
the ground. If necessary, place adequate supports
under the undercarriage so that the tracks are clear of
the ground.
3 Release the track tension K
Track
Adjustment ( T J-4).
4 Insert three steel tubes D inside the track, in the
space between the rollers. Rotate the sprocket in
reverse E so that the tubes move with the track and
engage the track tensioning wheel. Exert sideways
force F to slide the track off the track tensioning
wheel.
Fig 4.
Installing a Track
1 Make sure that the machine is safely supported off
the ground before proceeding.
2 Mesh the track links in the sprocket and place the
other end of the track on the track tensioning wheel.
3 Rotate the sprocket in reverse A and pull the track
soles inside the frame.
4 Position the track using a steel tube B and turn the
sprocket again.
5 Make sure track links mesh correctly in the sprocket
and in the track tensioning wheel.
6 Adjust track tension K
Track Adjustment ( T J-4).
7 Raise the machine and carefully remove the
undercarriage supports. Set the machine on the
ground.
