Skip Mechanism
Removal and Replacement

Link Removal
1 Remove the skip K Skip ( T B-3).
2 Position the mechanism to allow access to
components and place supports under the arms. Stop
the engine.
3 Remove the tilt ram K
Tilt Ram ( T E-38).
4 Remove nut 1 and drive out pivot pin 2 securing the
link 3 to the inner arms and the lift ram. Take care to
support the lift ram.
5 Remove nut 4 and drive out pivot pin 5 securing the
link to the outer arms 6.
6 Lift the link away from the machine.
Link Replacement
1 Position the link 3 on the machine and fit pivot pin 5
to secure the link to the outer arms. taking care to
locate the locking tab. Fit and tighten nut 4.
2 Fit pivot pin 2 to secure the link to the inner arms and
the lift ram, taking care to locate the locking tab. Fit
and tighten nut 1.
3 Refit the tilt ram.
4 Refit the skip.
Outer Arms Removal
1 Remove the skip.
2 Remove the link (see above).
3 Place a sling around the outer arms 6 and take the
weight of the arms.
4 Remove nut 7 and drive out pivot pin 8 securing the
outer arms to the mainframe.
5 Lift the outer arms clear of the machine.
Outer Arms Replacement
1 Position the outer arms 6 onto the machine and fit
pivot pin 8 to secure the arms to the mainframe,
taking care to locate the locking tab. Fit and tighten
nut 7.
2 Refit the link (see above).
3 Refit the skip.
Inner Arms Removal
1 Remove the skip.
2 Remove the tilt ram, link 3 and outer arms 6 (see
above).
3 Cut the cable ties 9 securing the tilt ram hoses to the
inner arms and tie the hoses up clear of the area.
4 Remove nut 10 and drive out pivot pin 11 securing the
inner arms 12 to the mainframe.
5 Lift the inner arms 12 clear of the machine.
Inner Arms Replacement
1 Position the inner arms 12 onto the machine and fit
pivot pin 11 to secure the arms to the mainframe,
taking care to locate the locking tab. Fit and tighten
nut 10.
2 Refit the outer arms 3, link 8 and tilt ram (see above).
3 Secure the tilt ram hoses to the inner arms with new
cable ties 9.
4 Refit the skip.
Bump Stop Removal
1 Unscrew and remove nut 13 and spring washer 14.
2 Remove bump stop 15.
Bump Stop Replacement
1 Fit bump stop 15 onto the outer arms and secure with
spring washer 14 and nut 13.
