5-4. Changing the feed locus
The feed locus can be changed according
to the item to be sewn.
[How to change]
1) Display the sewing data edit screen by
pressing ❺.
2) Display "S048" by pressing ❶.
3) Change the feed locus by pressing
❷.
* Refer to the following for the types of
feed locus.
4) Conrm your entry by pressing ❻.
Then, the sewing screen is displayed.

During ascending, the feed dog goes straight
up and moves in parallel in terms of longitudi-
nal direction.
0 to 5.00 mm : 4,000 sti/min
C
When the needle penetrates the material, the
feed dog sinks straight down. As a result, the
bent-needle problem rarely occurs.
0 to 5.00 mm : 4,000 sti/min
B
The feed dog goes straight up and sinks
straight down.
Since it sinks straight down during descending,
the bent-needle problem rarely occurs.
With this type of locus, the stitch length does
not change largely even when the feed dog
height is changed.
0 to 5.00 mm : 2,500 sti/min
