As a result of computerization of the feed mechanism, various adjustments can be carried out. Refer to "4-2.
Sewing patterns" p. 30 for details.
The length of needle thread remaining on
the material after thread trimming is re-
duced by operating the thread trimmer with
feed dog lowered.
In addition, since feed dog does not
protrude from throat plate , the material
can be placed/removed on/from the sewing
machine with ease.
* The setting of "Lowering/Not lowering the
feed dog during thread trimming" can be
changed over with "Memory switch U057".
5. MAIN NEW FUNCTIONS
5-1. Shorter-thread remaining thread trimming
The shorter-thread remaining
function is in the OFF state.
The shorter-thread remaining
function is in the ON state.
(State at the time of shipment
from the factory)
Due to computerization of the feed mechanism, the machine generates noise that is specic to
the stepping motor when it runs at a low speed. This noise is not a sign of fault.
[How to set the feed dog]
