Error Rate Information
You can obtain performance information for the playback circuits. Use this window in
conjunction with the Deck Controller window, to fully judge performance.
1. Turn the camera’s Power Dial to the PLAY position.
2. Load a previously recorded cassette. Play back the tape.
3. Click Error Rate tab in the Inspector window.
4. The Error Rate window appears.

This window displays the number of errors that occur during playback of a
tape.
6. Observe the readings. Notice that the data constantly changes. The error rate
is an average of the Error Count over a short period of time.
7. The Viterbi circuit can be switched off or on using the OFF and ON Viterbi
buttons. Click the Viterbi OFF button. Notice that the error rate increases.
