17.4.3 Format
Specify the format of data output by the balance.
For the standard format of the KERN electronic balances
• Select menu element 77 .
For the old data output format of the KERN electronic balances:
• Select menu element 78 .
17.4.4 Speed of communication
Specify the transmission speed (300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200 or
38400 bps).
The value presented as „b-xxx” gives the number of bps (bits/second). Baud-rate
and bps are the same value.
Select one of the menu elements from 81 to 88.
17.4.5 Parity / Bit length
Select the parity and bit length.
No parity, 8-bit length:
Select the menu element 89
Odd parity, 7-bit length:
Select the menu element 90
Straight parity, 7-bit length:
Select the menu element 91

Select the number of stop bits.
Stop bit 1:

The „limiter” is used to separate single data or commands from each other. The
limiter is to be set in the following way:
