CHANGE OIL IN DIFFERENTIAL CASE
WARNING
The parts and oil are at high temperature immediately after the engine is stopped, and may cause serious burns. Wait for the
temperature to go down before starting the operation.
If there is still pressure remaining inside the case, the oil or plug may fly out.
Loosen the plug slowly to release the pressure.
Refill capacity: Front 22.5 liters (5.94 US gal)
Center 39.0 liters (10.30 US gal)
Rear 35.0 liters (9.25 US gal)
1.
Remove drain plug (P), drain the oil, then tighten the plug
again.
2. Add axle oil to the specified level through the hole for plug (G)
or oil filler port (F).

After adding oil, check that the oil is at the specified level. See
"CHECK OIL LEVEL IN DIFFERENTIAL CASE, ADD OIL
(PAGE 4-53)".
4.
Repeat the procedure in Steps 1 - 3 and change the oil to all the
differential cases (front, center, rear).
