Governor Gear. Oil Splashing Gear and Sub PTO
Shaft
1. Remove the retainer (1). and take out the
governor sleeve (2) and washer (3).
2. Remove the stopper (4), and pull out the governor
gear (5).
3. Remove the oil splashing gear (6).
4. Remove the spring lock pin (9), and pullout the
sub PTO shaft (12).
5. Take out the driven gear (10) and two shims (8),
(11 ).
(When reassembling)
• Install the shims (8), (11) in the original position.
(See figure)

Mounting Screw
Camshaft and Tappet
1. Turn the engine sideways with the cylinder head
side
downward.
2. Pullout the camshaft (1).
3. Remove the two tappets (2).
(When reassembling)
• Apply engine oil
to the tappets .
• IMPORTANT
• When installing
the camshaft. be sure to align the
alignment marks (3) on the crank gear and cam
gear.
