Switch to RCL Home Screen Display
Press Screen Toggle button (4) (Figure 3-13) on the Jog Dial
menu control to switch to the RCL main menu screen.
Press ENTER on Jog Dial or Menu button to access RCL
Main Screen. This screen displays after key is turned on, but
the operator must press the tab button to display tare value.
RCL Display Operating Screen: Tare
Function
By default, the Tare Function is not displayed on the RCL.
To enable the Tare Function the operator has two ways of
doing this.
With the RCL, display must be in the RCL Home Screen
Display:
• The Operator presses the Tab button on the RCL
Display.
• With the Jog Dial selected to the RCL Screen, the
Operator presses the Tab Button on the Jog Dial.
Tab Button: Reference (Figure 3-12)
When the Tare Function is enabled, the Tare weight is
displayed below the Actual vs. Max Percent Load and has a
value equal to 0.0t (0.0klb). Once enabled, the operator can
reset the Tare Value to zero by pressing the Tab button at
any time.
After enabling the Tare Function, if the Operator changes the
Rigging Code, the Tare weight will be reset to mirror the
present Actual Weight.
To disable the Tare Function, the operator must cycle the
power via Key off/on.
Note: The Tare Function is used only as an Operator aid and
does not change or override the Actual Load Display, nor
affect the RCL and Load Chart Cut-offs.
