CHAPTER 3 USING THE ONETOUCH III
Adjusting Performance Settings
You can adjust the performance of your drive. Highest
Performance provides improved data throughput when data
access patterns are random in nature.
To adjust Performance Settings on the OneTouch III
1. Click the Settings button. This will open the Settings for
My Maxtor OneTouch menu.
2. Click the Adjust Performance button.
3. You will see the following.
4. To adjust performance settings so that they are within
“ normal ” settings:
Click on Normal Performance - (quieter).
5. Click Apply to be notified that the performance setting
has adjusted.
Click OK .
6. To return the OneTouch III drive so that it performs to its
highest settings, click the Settings button. This will open
the Settings for My Maxtor OneTouch menu.
