the connection of diagnostic devices at a quali‐
fied specialist workshop.

If you connect equipment to a diagnostics
connection in t
he vehicle, it may affect the
operation of vehicle systems.
As a result, the operating safety of the vehi‐
cle could be affected.

Only connect equipment to a diagnos‐
tics connection in t
he vehicle which is
approved for your vehicle by Mercedes-
Benz.

objects in the driver's footwell
Objects in the driver's footwell may impede
pedal tr
avel or block a depressed pedal.
This jeopardises the operating and road
saf
ety of the vehicle.

Stow all objects in the vehicle securely
so t
hat they cannot get into the driver's
footwell.

Always fit the floor mats securely and
as pr
escribed in order to ensure that
there is always sufficient room for the
pedals.

Do not use loose floor mats and do not
place f
loor mats on top of one another.

Using devices at the diagnostics connection

ains the battery.

Check the charge level of the battery.
#
If the charge level is low, charge the
batt
ery, e.g. by driving a considerable
distance.
Connecting equipment to the diagnostics con‐
nection can lead t
o emissions monitoring infor‐
mation being reset, for example. This may lead
to the vehicle failing to meet the requirements of
the next emissions inspection during the main
inspection.

A q
ualified specialist workshop has the neces‐
sary special skills, tools and qualifications to
correctly carry out any necessary work on your
vehicle. This particularly applies to work relevant
to safety.
Always have the following work carried out on
your vehicle at a qualified specialist workshop:
