If children are left unattended in the vehicle,

hey could:

open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.
R
get out of the vehicle and be hit by
oncoming traffic.
R
operate vehicle equipment and become
trapped, for example.
In addition, children could also set the vehi‐
cle in motion, for example, by:
R
releasing the parking brake.
R
shifting the automatic transmission out of
park position j or shifting manual trans‐
mission into neutral.
R
starting the engine.

When leaving the vehicle, always take

he key with you and lock the vehicle.
