NOTE Vehicle damage from the jack
If you do not position the jack correctly at
the appropriate jack support point of the
vehicle, the jack could tip over with the vehi‐
cle raised.

The jack is designed exclusively for
jacking up the vehicle at the jack sup‐
port points.
#
Take the ratchet out of the tire-change tool
kit and place it on the hexagon nut of the
jack so that the letters "AUF" are visible.
#
Position jack 2 at jack support point 1.
#
Turn ratchet 3 clockwise until jack 2 sits
completely on jack support point 1 and the
base of the jack lies evenly on the ground.
#
Turn ratchet 3 until the tire is raised a maxi‐
mum of 1.2 in (3 cm) from the ground.

Loosen and remove the wheel (/ page 331).
Removing a wheel
Requirements:

The vehicle is raised (/ page 329).
When changing a wheel, avoid applying any force
to the brake discs, since this could impair the
level of comfort when braking.

NOTE Damage to threading from dirt on
wheel bolts

Do not place wheel bolts in sand or on
a dirty surface.
#
Unscrew the uppermost wheel bolt com‐
pletely.
