or not secured, it can become detached.
The child cannot then be protected or
restrained as intended.
The unused child restraint system can be
become detached and strike vehicle occu-
pants.

restraint system and its correct use.

Always observe the child restraint system
manufacturer's installation and operating
instructions as well as the vehicle-specic
information:

Fitting the ISOFIX or i-Size child restraint
system to the rear seat (/ page 75).

Securing the child restraint system with
the seat belt on the rear seat
(/ page 82).

Securing the child restraint system with
the seat belt on the front passenger seat
(/ page 85). Observe the specic
instructions for the rearward-facing and
forward-facing child restraint systems
(/ page 84).
If the front passenger seat is occupied,
ensure, both before and during the jour-
ney, that the status of the front passenger
airbag is correct for the current situation
(/ page 59).
