The strings must fill the entire field: UPC-A must be 11 characters long,
UPC-B must be 12 characters long, EAN-8 must be 7 characters long
and EAN-13 must
be 12 characters long. The checksum character is mandatory and will
automatically be appended at the end of the format string. The table
defines the script characters for the format string; if you use other
characters than those mentioned below, your barcodes may not
function properly. See next page for format characters.
