1-5 Applicable Standards
EC Directives
Note To conform to the EMC Directives, the Servomotor and Servo Drive must be installed under
the conditions described in 4-3 Wiring Conforming to EMC Directives.
UL/CSA Standards
The Servo Drives and Servomotors comply with UL 508C (file No. E179149) as long as the following
installation conditions 1 and 2 are met.
1. The Servo Drive must be used in a pollution degree 1 or 2 environment as defined in IEC 60664-
1 (example: installation in an IP54 control panel).
2. A UL-listed (with mark) circuit breaker or UL-listed (with mark) fuse must be connected
between the power supply and noise filter.
Refer to the following table for the rated current of the circuit breaker or fuse.
You must use copper wiring with a temperature rating of 60°C or higher.
Korean Radio Regulations (KC)
· SMARTSTEP2-series Servo Drives comply with the Korean Radio Regulations (KC).
· The G-series Servomotors do not comply with the Korean Radio Regulations (KC).
