Playing DivX Files
Thefollowingarestep-by-stepinstructionsonhowtoplayDivXles.
1. Insertthedisc.
2. If thereisothercontentonthedisc,usetherightarrowbuttonon
yourremotetohighlightthearrowiconatthebottomof thescreen
andpressOK.
3. Usethearrowbuttonsonyourremotetohighlightthedesiredle,
andpressOK.
4. PressSTOPtostopplayingatanytime.
5. Usethearrowbuttonstohighlightthedesiredfolder,andpress
PLAYtoaccessallthelesinthefolder.
Notes: If you want to see all the files inside a folder, highlight the
folder and press OK.
Playing mp3, WMA, MPEG-4, VCD and JPEG files
mp3isanaudioleformatwhichcompressesrecordedmusic.Themain
advantageof themp3formatistheabilitytostoreCD-qualitymusic
tracksthatareuser-friendlyandcompressedonapersonalcomputer.
MPEG4isastandardusedprimarilytocompressdigitalaudioandvideo
data.WMA(WindowsMediaAudio)isanotheraudioleformat.
VCD(VideoCompactDisc)isastandarddigitalformatcontainingvideo
aswellasaudioonacompactdisc.VCDsusecompressioncalledMPEG
tostorethecontent.VCDscanbeplayedonthisDVDplayer.JPEGles
areimageles(forexample,photographs).Makesurethattheyhave
aresolutionof lessthan5megapixels.Thetimetakenforthecontents
of thedisctobedisplayedvariesaccordingtothesizeandnumber
of JPEGlesactuallyonthedisc.Ifnothingisdisplayedafterafew
minutes,itislikelythatcertainlesaretoolarge.Inthiscase,reducethe
les’resolutiontolessthan5megapixelsandwriteanotherdisc.
Notes: Press the CH+ or CH- buttons on the remote to move
forward or backward one track or picture at a time (if
available).
Many VCDs don’t have a disc menu. They might have a Play
Back Control menu or PBC. This will vary by disc.
The arrow buttons allow you to rotate a JPEG image.
Some content may or may not play depending on the mode of
compression (codec) used.
