Why does the channel search take a long time?

of thatdigitalchannel.Thissometimestakeslonger,butonceyouhaveyourchannellistsetup,youonlyhavetodoit
once.
Why does channel search find a lot of channels, but when I try to tune to them there’s nothing there?
