How to Record with Your Camcorder

Q Slide Camcorder's POWER

Power Indicator Light should come
On.
Q Put the Camcorder's
CAMERA/
PLAYBACK Switch in the
CAMERA position.
Q Set the MAN/AUTO
FOCUS
Switch to AUTO; set the AUTO
1RIS Control to the center (AUTO)
position; set the NORMAL/
SHUTTER Switch to NORMAL.
@Press the Camcorder's
EJECT
button, insert a VHS cassette and
close the cassette door.
(_) Put your eye to the
Camcorder
viewfinder and select a scene you
wish to record. Don't forget to
adjust the Eyepiece Focus Control
for your vision.
Q Press the Record Start/Stop
button
to begin recording. The graphic
"REC'" will appear in the
Electronic viewfinder. (It is not
necessary to hold clown the Record
Start/Stop button.)

Press the Record Start/Stop button
again to stop recording and enter
the Pause mode. The status graphic
"REC" displayed in the Electronic
Viewfinder will disappear. Press the
REVIEW button to review the last
four seconds of recorded material.
Pressing the Record Start/Stop
Button again wilt activate the
Record mode.
After you have completed taping
your subject, put the CAMERA/
PLAYBACK switch in the
PLA YBA CK position and rewind
the cassette, by pressing the
REWIND Button. If you do not
wish to play your recording back
on your Camcorder, press the
EJECT button and remove the
cassette.
Using Your Camcorder's
Special Recording Features
The steps listed above give you the
basics of activating Camcorder
recording. However, you should also
get to know the Camcorder's special
features on pages 12-15. These
features can help you shoot like a
pro even if you've never used a video
camera or recorder before.
