-How to Connect Your Camcorder to a
Video Monitor for Playback

The audio/video adapter cable packed
with your Camcorder is used to
connect your Camcorder to a video
monitor having jacks for direct
audio/video inputs.
Connect the white audio
connector plug on your audio/
video adapter cable to the
AUDIO 1N jack on the back of
your monitor.
Connect the yellow video
connector plug on the audio/
@
video adapter cable to the
VIDEO IN jack on the back of
your monitor.
Plug the multi-pin connector
fitting on the other end of your
audio/video adapter cable into
the A V OUT (Audio/Video Out)
jack on your Camcorder.
CAUTION: Do not force the
connector fitting. Match the
tabs on the connector fitting to
the notches on the Camcorder
jack. If the connector does not
slide in easily, check your marks
and try again.
The Camcorder now is connected to
the Monitor for tape playback. (For
details of playback operation, refer to
Page 18.)
Note: If the Camcorder is operated
in the Camera mode while connected
to the monitor, turn the monitor's
volume down to prevent the lfigh-
pitched squeal caused by audio
feedback.

Audio/Video Adapter Cable (supplied)
The audio/video adapter cable packed
with your Camcorder is used to
connect your Camcorder to another
VCR.
Connect the white audio
connector plug on your audio/
video adapter cable to the
AUDIO IN jack on the back of
your VCR.
Connect the yellow
video
connector plug on the audio/
@
video adapter cable to the
VIDEO IN jack on the back of
your VCR.
Plug the multi-pin connector
fitting on the other end of your
audio/video adapter cable into
the A V OUT (Audio/Video Out)
jack on your Camcorder.
CAUTION: Do NOT force the
connector fitting. Match the
tabs on the connector to the
notches on the Camcorder jack.

try again.
Your Camcorder is now connected to
the VCR for tape copying. Detailed
information on tape copying is on
Page 19.
