If you are using the camera for the first time, read this section.
To turn the power on:

Press the POWER button.
• After the start sound, the picture
display turns on.
Using the Camera in Playback
Mode
• Pressing and holding the 6
(Playback) button turns on the
camera in playback mode, allowing
you to start playback at once.
• When the camera has been turned
on with the 6 button, pressing the
6 button again switches playback mode to shooting mode.

After the camera is turned on, it may take longer for the camera to become ready for
shooting when using the flash than when not using the flash.
To turn the power off:

Press the POWER button.
• The number of files recorded on
that day is displayed, and then the
camera turns off.
• If the date is not set, the number of
files recorded is displayed as [0].
• If the date is changed, only the
number of files recorded after the
date change is displayed.
