Motor
WARNING / AVERTISSEMENT
Follow lockout procedures and isolate power from
fan controls.

Disconnect Motor Cable from Control Box
Ground Wire
U Phase
V Phase
W Phase

1. Disconnect fan motor cable from u, v, w, and ground
terminals (GND).
2. Using electrical meter, measure resistance (ohms, Ω)
between phase wand Phase V.
Record the 6 resistance values:
Phase W to V Ω Phase W to GND Ω
Phase W to U Ω Phase V to GND Ω
Phase V to U Ω Phase U to GND Ω
Phase to phase values should be equal. (±5%).
Phase to ground values should be innite.
(Open circuit ‑ meter display “OL”)
If phase‑phase values are not equal. Or, if
phase‑ground resistance is measured:
• Disconnect motor cable from motor.
• Repeat measurements at motor wiring terminals.
Motor Wobble
Verify:
Figure 14
• All hardware is tight.
• Stabilization Cables are taut.
• The motor bracket is installed vertically.
