Intended use
SOMATOM Scope is a computed tomography system. This computed
tomography system is intended to generate and process cross-
sectional images of patients by computer reconstruction of X-ray
transmission data. The images delivered by the system can be used
by a trained physician as an aid in diagnosis.
Indications for use

an aid in diagnosis, treatment preparation and radiation therapy
planning.
This CT system can be used for low dose lung cancer screening in
high risk populations.

Authorized users
SOMATOM Scope must be used by persons with the necessary
specialist knowledge, for example, doctors, trained radiologists, or
trained technologists, after appropriate application training.
United States Federal law restricts this device for sale by or on the
order of a physician (21 CFR 801.109(b)(1)).
