Displaying Information About VLANs
– 249 –
â—† VLAN Aware - Configures whether or not a port processes the
VLAN ID in ingress frames. (Default: Disabled)
If a port is not VLAN aware, all frames are assigned to the default VLAN
(as specified by the Port VLAN ID) and tags are not removed.
If a port is VLAN aware, each frame is assigned to the VLAN indicated in
the VLAN tag, and the tag is removed.
◆ Ingress Filtering – If ingress filtering is enabled and the ingress port
is not a member of the classified VLAN of the frame, the frame is
discarded.
◆ Frame Type – Shows whether the port accepts all frames or only
tagged frames. If the port only accepts tagged frames, untagged
frames received on that port are discarded.
◆ Tx Tag – Shows egress filtering frame status, indicating whether
frames are transmitted as tagged or untagged.
◆ UVID – Shows the untagged VLAN ID. A port's UVID determines the
packet's behavior at the egress side. If the VID of Ethernet frames
leaving a port match the UVID, these frames will be sent untagged.
◆ Conflicts – Shows whether conflicts exist or not. When a software
module requests to set VLAN membership or VLAN port configuration,
the following conflicts can occur:
â–
Functional conflicts between features.
â–
Conflicts due to hardware limitations.
â–
Direct conflicts between user modules.
