: Remove the screw (arrow) from
the starter.

: Remove the screw (1) from the
fan housing.
: Remove the shroud (2).
Install in the reverse sequence.

: Make sure the gaskets on either
side of the cylinder, and the
ignition lead (arrow), are located
in the guides in the shroud.

Removing
– Remove the shroud, b 5.1
: Take out the screws (arrows).
– Remove the engine from the fan
housing and put it to one side.

: Inspect the clutch drum. There
should be no scores or signs of
excessive wear.

: If there are noticeable wear
marks on the inside diameter of
the clutch drum (1), check its wall
thickness. If it is less than about
80% of the original thickness, fit a
new clutch drum, b 5.2.2
