Closing the storage compartment:
Fold the storage compartment closed:
Press the screws (2) downward slightly
and hold.
Tighten the screws (2) clockwise (approx.
90°).
14.12 Engine cover
The engine cover can be folded up in order
to perform maintenance and cleaning work
on the engine. Sufficient space is available
for these operations when the cover is
folded up.
Before folding up
● Park the machine on level and solid
ground.
● Stop the engine. (Ö 12.3)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.10)
● Remove the grass catcher box.
(Ö 12.10)
● Remove the discharge chute. (Ö 14.5)
● Allow the engine to fully cool down.
● Remove the mowing deck. (Ö 13.1)
Detaching the engine cover
Remove retaining pin (1) on the right-hand
side of rear mowing deck mounting (4).
Detach cutting height adjustment rod (3)
from rear mowing deck mounting (4).
Loosen screws (5) until they turn freely.
Folding up the engine cover
Danger of pinching!
Before detaching the cutting height
adjustment rod, ensure that no
body parts (hands, fingers, feet,
etc.) are positioned directly under
the mowing deck.
Safeguard against loss!
The screws cannot be removed
when unscrewed.
Risk of injury!
Always fold the cover up fully to the
stop so that the catch engages in
the frame. This prevents the engine
cover from falling shut
unintentionally.
