Remove the push rod 5, piston cup set C and spring D.
MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION
MASTER CYLINDER
Inspect the master cylinder bore for any scratches or other dam-
age. If any damage is found, replace the master cylinder with a
new one.
PISTON
Inspect the piston surface for any scratches or other damage. If
any damage is found, replace the piston with a new one.
RUBBER PARTS
Inspect the primary cup, secondary cup and dust boot for wear
or damage. If any defects are found, replace it with a new one.
MASTER CYLINDER REASSEMBLY AND
INSTALLATION
Reassemble and install the master cylinder in the reverse order
of removal and disassembly. Pay attention to the following
points:
Wash the master cylinder components with new brake fluid
before reassembly.
Specification and classification: DOT 4
* Do not wipe the brake fluid off after washing the
components.
* When washing the components, use the specified
brake fluid. Never use different types of fluid or
cleaning solvents such as gasoline, kerosine, etc.
* Apply brake fluid to the master cylinder bore and all
of the master cylinder component to be inserted into
the bore.
