CLUTCH 7-9
INSPECTION
• Inspect the clutch sleeve hub and primary driven gear for
wear and cracks.
• If necessary, replace the sleeve hub or driven gear.
• Inspect the needle bearing and spacer for damage and wear.
• If any defects are found, replace the bearing or spacer.
INSTALLATION
Install the primary driven gear and clutch sleeve hub in the
reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following points:
• Apply engine oil to the spacer

1 and needle bearing

• Install the spacer
î›§
1 and needle bearing
î›§
2.
• Install the primary driven gear
î›§
3.
• Install the washer
î›§
4.
• Fit the clutch sleeve hub
î›§
5, new lock washer
î›§
6 and clutch
sleeve hub nut
î›§
7.
NOTE:
The concave side of clutch sleeve hub nut
î›§
7 faces inside.
CAUTION
Replace the lock washer
î›§
6 with a new one.
