Congratulations on your choice of the Multi-Function Display SMD12/16. We are confident you will
see why the SUZUKI name has become synonymous with quality and reliability.
This equipment is designed and constructed to meet the rigorous demands of the marine environ-
ment. However, no machine can perform its intended function unless operated and maintained
properly. Please carefully read and follow the recommended procedures for operation and main-
tenance.
We would appreciate hearing from you, the end user, about whether we are achieving our purpos-
es.

Features
The SMD12/16, equipped with a touch screen with multi touch capacity, is a networked navigation
system that gives you functions such as radar, plotter, fish finder and AIS. Information is trans-
ferred between SMD12/16 through Ethernet or NMEA 2000. The plug-and-play format allows ex-
pansion and you can connect a maximum of four SMD12/16. Also, you can control the SMD12/16
and display their data on an iOS or Android
™
device.

• Engine display provides comprehensive navigation data with connection of appropriate
sensors.
• Built in wireless LAN to update program and download weather data via the internet. (SMD12/
16 sold in China do not have wireless LAN capability.)
• Points (waypoints) and routes are transferred and shared between SMD12/16 via Ethernet.
• Large memory stores 30,000 track points, 30,000 points, and 200 routes (500 points per route).
• Able to write and read data (points, routes, tracks, etc..
• Built in GPS receiver and antenna.
• Built in fish finder.
• AIS function (requires connection of AIS transponder) receives AIS data from AIS equipped
vessels, shore stations and navigational aids and displays relevant data.
