OPERATION
Parking the Machine
Parking
WARNING
Park the machine on rm, level ground
and apply the parking device. If you
must park on a slope or incline, block
the machine securely to prevent
movement.
Before leaving the operator’s seat, set
the locking devices securely to the lock
position and stop the engine. If any
controls should be touched accidentally
when the locking devices have not be
locked, the machine will move suddenly,
and cause serious injury or death.
1. Slowly step on the brake pedal to stop the
machine.
2. Press the decel. button and idle the engine
at low speed.
3. Lower the bucket and dozer blade to the
ground.
4. Set the safety lock lever to the lock
position.
5. Lock the blade lever and boom swing
pedal.
6. Stop the engine and remove the key.

Releasing the residual pressure from the
working equipment circuitry
1. Stop the engine.
2. Turn the starter switch to the ON
position.
3. Fully lower the safety lock lever.
4. Within 10 minutes after the engine comes to
a complete stop, move all the control levers
and pedals several times in all directions
to release the residual pressure.
Inspection and Checks After
Stopping the Engine
1. Check for oil and water leakage and
inspect the working equipment, covers
and undercarriage. If any irregularities are
found, repair.
2. Fill the fuel tank.
Refer to page 118 Inspecting the Fuel
Level”.
3. Remove any paper scraps or dirt from the
engine room.
4. R e m o v e a n y m u d f r o m t h e
undercarriage.

Be sure to lock the following places:
Cab door
Fuelller cap
Covers
W2A023
Block
Dig in
