DM44 DISPLAYS AND MEASUREMENTS
Except
for
the
TIME
and
1/TIME
functions,
the DM44 is
independently
usable
anytime
the
oscilloscope
is
turned
on.
The
TIME
and
1/TIME
functions
are discussed in the Oscilloscope
Applications
and Measurements section
of
this
manual
under
Delayed
or
Mixed Sweep Measurements.
RESISTANCE
The
meter
may
be
damaged
by
attempting
to
measure voltage
if
the
meter
is in the resistance
mode
of
operation
(OHMS
FUNCTION
button
push-
ed
in)
and
the
applied
voltage
is
in excess
of
120 V
rms.
1.
Push in the
OHMS
FUNCTION
button and the
20
MO RANGE
button.
See Fig. 10.
2.
Connect
the + and
COM
leads
to
the
unknown
resistance.
3.
Reduce
the
range,
using
the
following
table, until a
proper
readout is obtained.

blinking
readout on
any
range, when connected
to
any
unknown
resistance, indicates an overrange
condi-
tion
and a need
to
select a
higher
range.
A
blinking
readout, when meter leads are
disconnected
is normal.
