Measure the
horizontal
distance
between
the
10% and
90%
points
and
multiply
the
distance measured
by
the
setting
of
the
TIME/DIV
switch.
EXAMPLE: The
horizontal
distance
between
the
10%
and
90%
points
is 5
divisions
(see Fig. 21) and
the
TIME/DIV
switch
is set
to
1
µs.
Using the time
duration
formula
to
find
risetime:
Time
Duration

horizontal

(divisions)
Substituting the given values:
TIME/DIV
setting
Risetime
= 5 X 1
µs
= 5
microseconds.
TIME-DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
TWO PULSES FROM
DIFFERENT SOURCES
Obtain a Normal Sweep Display. Make sure the VAR
TIME/DIV
control
is
in the
calibrated
detent. Set the A
Trigger
SOURCE switch
to
CH
1.
Connect
the reference
signal to CH 1 and the
comparison
signal
to
CH
2.
Connect
the
signals
to
the
input
connectors
using
probes
or
cables
with
equal time delay.
