10. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select the menu item
corresponding to the input signal type (for example, NTSC Burst).
11. Press the ENTER button.
12. Check that the EXT REF indicator lights. This shows that the instrument is
locked to the input signal.
13. Disconnect the BNC cable from the REF connector.
14. Check that the EXT REF indicator blinks. This shows that the sync pulse
generator detects when an incorrect or missing reference signal is applied to
the REF connector.
Signal Outputs (Standard).
15. Press the SYSTEM button to enter the System menu.
16. Press the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to select CONFIGURATION.
17. Press the ENTER button. This enters the Configuration submenu.
18. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select a video standard (NTSC
or PAL) for your waveform monitor and then press the ENTER button.
19. Press the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to select ANALOG OUTPUT
(STD).
20. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select BB: 1,2,3 TEST: 4.
21. Press the ENTER button.
22. Press the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to select SDI OUTPUT (STD).
23. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select BLACK: 1 TEST: 2.
24. Press the ENTER button.
25. Press the VIDEO button to enter the Video menu.
26. Press the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to select TEST SIGNAL
(ANALOG).
27. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select Standard.
28. Press the ENTER button.
29. Press the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to select COLOR BAR.
30. Press the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select 100% Color Bars.
31. Press the CANCEL button.
