Setup menu Setup item 1 of 7 total)
Allows you to set up the various configuration settings of the printer.
From the "Menu1: Setup>" display, press the [>] key. This takes you to the first sub-menu titled "Set1:
Media Type." Pressing the [-] and [+] keys allows you to increment up or down to each of the Setup
items in the left column below.
Note:
• Whether a specific sub menu of the Setup menu will actually be displayed is determined
by whether or not it has been selected in the Selection menu. Selection Menu (Setup

Setup item Description
Media Type Sets up the media type to print.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Effect Sets up the Effect menu.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Flushing Sets up the Flushing operation while printing.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Side Margin Specifies the right and left margins of the printed media.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Media Initial Specifies whether to perform media detection when initializing the media.
This detects the width and front edge of the media when initializing the
media.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Media Width If media detection is not performed during media initialization, this specifies
the media width between the loading mark and the left edge of the media.

performed during media initialization, this displays the
detected
media width.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.

Ta k e - u p Sets the operation of the optional winding unit.
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.
Take-up menu
Origin Sets the location at which the printing of the data begins (i.e., the origin).
•Pressing the [Enter] key shifts to the sub menu.
