Troubleshooting Phaser 7700 Color Printers
Problems with automatic two-sided printing
Output is single-sided
■
Make sure that you have selected two-sided printing in the printer driver.
■
Maker sure that your paper weight meets the following requirement: 64-105 g/m
2
(17-28 lbs.).
Frequent jams with two-sided printing
■
Paper weight must be between 75-105 g/m
2
(20-28 lb. bond).
The second side of a two-sided print is upside-down
■
Select the correct method for binding preference in the printer driver.
■
Refer to the Phaser 7700 Color Printer User Guide for more information on two-sided
printing and binding preference.
Letterhead paper prints on the wrong side or prints upside-down
■

Problems printing on labels
Labels are printed on the wrong side
■
Make sure that the labels are loaded face-down in the Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT).
■
Make sure that two-sided printing is not selected in the printer driver; you cannot
print labels on two sides.
■
Make sure that you have selected Labels as the Paper Type.
■
Make sure you have selected Multi-Purpose Tray (MPT) in the printer driver.
■
Do not use a sheet of labels if any of the labels are missing.
Printing labels from Microsoft Word
1. From the Tools menu, select Envelopes and Labels.
2. In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Labels tab.
3. In the dialog box, click on the label icon.
