Utility Mode
2-5. Factory Set
This function replaces all internal settings in the DTXPRESS III
to their factory-set condition.
The Factory Set function will replace all internal set-
tings in the DTXPRESS III to their factory-set con-
dition. Take care so as not to loose important data.
Make sure any settings and user songs you want to
keep have been saved to an external device such as
the Yamaha MIDI Data Filer MDF3, etc. (m[3-1.
Bulk Dump] (P. 31)
Procedure
1.
Enter the display shown above, press the [SAVE/ENT]
button. The following display will appear asking for con-
firmation before the Factory Set operation is carried out.

3. MIDI Group
This sub-mode contains functions and settings for the MIDI and
TO HOST jacks of the DTXPRESS III. This group is divided into
the following 10 pages.

3-1. Bulk Dump
With the Bulk Dump operation, data stored in the DTXPRESS III
can be transmitted via the MIDI OUT or TO HOST jack.
q Fmt (Bulk Dump Format)
Selects the type of data to be transmitted with the Bulk Dump
operation.
all data : All the data in the DTXPRESS III
system data : Data set in the Utility mode (except User
Map).
user map : User Map data.
one drumkit : Data for the currently selected Drum Kit.
all drumkit : All User Drum Kit Data.
one trigger : Data for the currently selected Trigger Setup.
all trigger : All User Trigger Setup data
one song : Data for the currently selected User Song.
all song : All User Song data.
Procedure
1.
After reading the [Connecting a MIDI Device] (Basic
Guide : P. 14) or the [Connecting a Computer] (Basic
Guide : P. 28) section, connect the external MIDI device
or computer to the MIDI OUT or TO HOST jack on the
DTXPRESS III. Set the HOST SELECT switch.
